No Train to Brechin is yet another blog about Scottish senior and junior football, written by two St Johnstone supporters exiled in Dundee (though not intended to be a Saints blog).

Michael Lambert knows next to nothing about football, however he finds it easier to write about than music or photography so here we are. Character traits skip a generation in many families – unfortunately Michael inherited a “love” of St Johnstone from his grandfather, and not his footballing abilities. Michael is in his late twenties, sports a beard and plays bass guitar.

Michael Lennie was forced into retirement from football aged 13 due to a complete lack of talent. A lifelong St Johnstone fan from a family of lifelong St Johnstone fans he has a healthy disdain for the Old Firm and enjoys pointless trivia, cats and buying pretentious looking books. Michael is in his late twenties, sports a beard and plays bass guitar.
